Jeff's first play, Visiting Mr. Green starred Eli
Wallach.  The play ran for a full year in New York
and went on to become one of the world's
most-performed plays, with well over 500
productions in 24 languages in 50 countries.  Its
numerous awards include Best Play in Greece,
Germany, Mexico, Turkey, Uruguay and the
Kulturpreis Europa.

Eli Wallach was the first of a long list of the
world's great actors who have played Mr. Green.   

Jeff's more recent plays have originated in
Australia, South America and Europe.
His speaking appearances include
the United Nations, the National
English Teachers Conference
(NCTE), Instituto Cultural Peruano
Norteamericano, Columbia
University, New School, Emory
University, Harvard University and
Northwestern University, and many
elementary and middle schools.  

His journalism and short fiction
have been published in the U.S.,
France and Canada.  He was
commissioned to write two short
operas, one of which had its
premiere at Carnegie Hall.
Jeff's criticism, fiction and comic poetry have been
published in the New York Daily News, Publishers
Weekly, Tetu (Paris), the Dallas Times Herald, T.O.
(Toronto) and New York Magazine (the competition).
